Description:
'Eternal Challenge' constitutes the first dynamically adaptive instance of Beyond AION. It begins with a comparatively low level of difficulty and gets more and more difficult with ongoing successful runs. In the end, the rewards scale up to this difficulty increase. The aim of the instance is to destroy the central Aether Stone (see above) within 15 minutes. This however doesn't attack or respond, but spawns different Artifact Protectors in periodic time intervals that try to stop the player. After the successful destruction of the Aether Stone, the time limit ends and Shadowshift appears, who has to be defeated in order to obtain the rewards. If the player is capable of doing so, the level of difficulty increases for the next time, while each 3 steps a new difficulty stage is reached. If however a player dies, leaves the instance or exceeds the time limit, his individual level of difficulty drops to the previous stage. These stages are oriented to the classic coin/medal scheme of AION.

Theoretically, the difficulty of the instance is infinitely expandable beyond ANCIENT+, but in practice, it becomes no longer manageable at a certain point of time, after which the player will fall down to ANCIENT.
The Aether Stone itself becomes harder and harder to defeat with increasing levels of difficulty, since its TP rise proportionally to it.
Artifact Protectors:
Vord
He deals little amounts of damage but possesses large amounts of TP.
If he isn't defeated one minute after his spawn, he will heal himself completely - otherwise, he respawns.
With increasing levels of difficulty, TP increases proportionally.
Scapi
This enemy appears from BRONZE onwards.
These relatively weak opponents appear often and attack the player in groups of six.
With increasing levels of difficulty, respawn time decreases.
Vala
This enemy appears from SILVER onwards. He deals no damage, but curses the player with debuffs continually.
If he isn't defeated one minute after his spawn, he will heal himself completely - otherwise, he respawns.
With increasing levels of difficulty, the amount and strength of debuffs increase.
Shadowshift
This boss appears when the central Aether Stone is destroyed. He will attempt to utilize the player's strengths against himself.
