BeyondAion rework

    • BeyondAion rework

      Hello everyone,
I’d like to share a few ideas that could help make the server more attractive and welcoming to the current small Aion community/

Before diving into specific ideas, I want to emphasize that the most impactful way to make the server attractive would be a complete wipe. A fresh start would level the playing field, eliminate the gap between old and new players, and give everyone equal motivation to re‑engage with the server. The current small playerbase is all veteran players with full sets, logging only for Raid and going off again, i dont remember when was the last time i saw a fresh blood enter the server & stay.

      • Starter Gear Support: Provide battle medals set (enough for Full armour, accesories & eternal weapon) to every new player joining the server. This will help them feel competitive right from the start.
      • Fairer Enchantment Rates: Make the enchantment rate easier at least up to +15. The current gap between new and veteran players is too wide, and this change would help balance progression.
      • Level Boost Incentive: Offer a free level 65 ticket for the first character created on each account. This would encourage new players to dive into endgame content more quickly.
      • Legion Migration Rewards: If a legion decides to migrate to the server, grant each member a single AP chest, a special title, skin or similar reward including the Starter Gear Support. This would motivate entire groups to join and strengthen the community.
      • Hourly Rewards System: Introduce small hourly rewards such as membership coins, Ailu candies or other attractive items. This would encourage players to stay online, boost server activity, and make the server look more lively to newcomers checking the website before downloading.
      • Revitalize Makarna Instance: Add Makarna HM loot to the NM mode, not only on events.
Benefit: This fix for HM has been long-awaited but never implemented, it would make the instance attractive again on a weekly basis, giving players more incentive to participate and keeping content fresh.
      • Relive Akaron: Revive Akaron by reducing battle medal rewards, maybe add some other useful item to the mobs from garrisons... but making the quests Daily. This Encourages more consistent open-world interactions between races, increases PvP activity, and makes Akaron a lively and competitive.
      • 64bit client & Mouse issue on windows 11: I know, the team said they will work on it, but just a reminder that it is game breaking and lot of people stopped playing because of that from the current playerbase. Should be a priority fix.
These adjustments could go a long way toward making the server more appealing, fair, and fun for both newcomers and established players.

      Thank you. ^^
    • Thank you for your suggestions. We will start working on some of these points next year, but no promises or ETA for updates (as usual).
However, we still don't want to perform a complete wipe, just as we didn't when this idea was suggested to us earlier this year. While it would certainly lead to quick results, the long term effects are much less certain. And one of the things our players could always rely on is that their data and the hard work they put into their accounts is safe with us. This is something that sets us apart from virtually any other server, and it's difficult to give up. Which does not mean that a hard reset is out of the question if the whole community wants it.

SO erase veteran rewards ect. You can loose some players too. But good idea.
This is something we admins have actually discussed internally many times over the years. There are many problems with these rewards but we have always felt that we couldn't remove them (not even partially). Taking something away from players is rarely well received.
